how am i earning more than before but somehow feel MORE broke??

got a decent raise this year and genuinely thought ok finally I can stop checking my bank account every 3 days 😭 somehow... nope. rent, groceries, fuel, random subscriptions, ordering food twice, one birthday, one unexpected bill and suddenly I'm sitting there wondering where the hell the money went. and I don't even feel like I'm living some luxury life?? I'm not buying designer stuff or travelling every month. just normal life somehow costs SO MUCH now. the most annoying part is earning more but still getting that same “pls salary come soon” feeling at the end of the month lol
